​Meet Thanh!
Thanh is 12 years old. She has a heart condition which has stunted her growth, making her much smaller than her peers. Because of this, she's often the target of bullying, which has damaged her confidence, leaving her lonely, isolated and often struggling to speak out for herself.
​
For children like Thanh, there is much more to their needs than what a traditional classroom can offer.
With support from our donors, HSCV was able to found the Blossom Program on the understanding that when vulnerable youth experience consistent emotional safety, positive peer identity, and adult mentorship, they can build internal resilience that mitigates the effects of chronic disadvantages or trauma.
For Thanh, the Blossom Club provides a supportive community where she can rebuild her confidence. Through guided activities, she is learning that her value isn’t defined by her illness. She is making friends and allies in the children who also attend the club; building self-worth by participating in the life-skills based activities that model respect and inclusion; and she gets access to structured opportunities to practice building her confidence in a safe environment.

All the while, her family receives financial and emotional support that reduces stress at home, fostering the stability she needs to thrive.
Thanh’s story, while unique, is not an isolated one. Across Northern Vietnam where HSCV operates, our donors have helped countless children overcome hardships that prevent them from reaching their full potential.

Yes and it is highly appreciated. Monthly gifts help us deliver club sessions, counseling schedules, and scholarships with confidence all-year-round.
3. Are there fees when I donate here?
