School Scholarships

Without the school scholarships provided by HSCV these wonderful children would be forced to stop attending school.

For only $50 you can sponsor an at risk child with a year of school fees. In return you will receive a photo, biography, and have the opportunity to exchange letters, pictures and drawings with the child.

Donate $50 now, using paypal's safe and secure network

For an additional $205 you can sponsor the child's family with a monthly donation of rice for one year. This donation provides the family with the flexibility to purchase other needed items such as protein, vegetables and clothing.

Donate $255 now, using paypal's safe and secure network.

Portions of your donation to any of direct sponsorship options will be used to support other HSCV programs where funding may be lacking.

Medical Donations

Medical care in Vietnam can be sporadic and oftentimes dramatically inadequate. Medical personal may be well trained and educated. However, the inadequacies of many medical facilities and the shortage of proper medical equipment and supplies can result in inappropriate medical care.
In 2005 HSCV initiated a pilot program to try to provide assistance in this area. We were not in a position to provide aid on a large scale but rather we are attempting to help on the local level. We made donations to a medical clinic serving a poor community south of Hanoi. This clinic is the first stop for medical assistance for the 20,000 residents of the area.
The clinic was woefully short of even basic medical equipment and supplies. To provide assistance HSCV donated latex gloves, syringes, bandages, stethoscopes, a langoscope, oxygen bottles, an infant bed with a warmer, a fetal Doppler and a DVD player to be used for community education. All for a cost of about $1200.
The goal of this program is to enable community level clinics to provide for basic health care needs. This would not only be of great benefit to the local residence but hopefully it will also help alleviate the over crowding always experienced at the district hospital level.
If successful, and it appears that it will be, HSCV hopes to expand the program to other communities.
