Without the school scholarships provided by HSCV these wonderful children would be forced to stop attending school.

For only $50 you can sponsor an at risk child with a year of school fees. In return you will receive a photo, biography, and have the opportunity to exchange letters, pictures and drawings with the child.

For an additional $205 you can sponsor the child's family with a monthly donation of rice for one year. This donation provides the family with the flexibility to purchase other needed items such as protein, vegetables and clothing.

Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV) is dedicated to serving orphans, homeless children and other children in need in Vietnam. Assistance is provided in the areas of food, shelter, clothing, health and education. Services are provided directly to the children by HSCV or through local Vietnamese child-based organizations addressing these needs.

The Cost of Rice
In April 2007 the average cost per family was $8.31 or $99.75 a year. These costs do not include any administrative costs. Donors were asked to donate $100 usd for every family they wished to sponsor. The current rise in the cost of rice combined with recent inflation in Vietnam has put a severe strain on this program. In just 12 months we have seen a 100% increase of the price of rice. The average monthly cost of per family is now $15.16 or $181.92 a year. We are currently using general funding to fill this gap, but this is an unsustainable situation for HSCV. We are calling for your donation to help us with this problem. Without your support today, HSCV can not continue this program with its current funding level. A Rice Distribution General Fund has been set up at this time. By donating to this general fund you will support the Rice Distribution Program as a whole. Please understand you will not be assigned a particular family, as with our Direct Sponsorship program. In the event that the donations from the Rice Distribution General Fund exceeds the needs of the program, funds will be transferred to HSCV's General Needs Fund.
Handicapped Center in Ba Vi

The center is home to children who are said to be 3rd generation victims of Agent Orange. HSCV was first introduced to this center the Summer of 2005. Since then HSCV has made donations to the center such as clothing items and medications. Newsweek has asked HSCV to assist with any donations made to the center. Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam was incorporated in September 2001. The organization was granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service in April 2002. All donations to the organization are fully tax deductible. HSCV is a non-sectarian organization, unaffiliated with any other organization.
