School Scholarships

Without the school scholarships provided by HSCV these wonderful children would be forced to stop attending school.

For only $50 you can sponsor an at risk child with a year of school fees. In return you will receive a photo, biography, and have the opportunity to exchange letters, pictures and drawings with the child.

Donate $50 now, using paypal's safe and secure network

For an additional $205 you can sponsor the child's family with a monthly donation of rice for one year. This donation provides the family with the flexibility to purchase other needed items such as protein, vegetables and clothing.

The Projects

In December of 2005, we completed our first Compassion Home.

Prior to being introduced to HSCV the family of 9 on the left was living on a boat. They had been living that way for generations. Their income is limited to their ability to find part-time work.

Since they did not have an address they were not allowed to receive a birth certificate and since they did not have a birth certificate the 7 children were allowed to attend school.

Thanks to a little time and dedication the children were finally allowed to have birth certificates. Four of the children entered the first grade in the fall of 2005. The oldest of the four is 11. In the fall of 2006 the children will enter the 2nd grade. All four are receiving scholarships from HSCV.

The money for this house was donated by Roxane and Gail Svoboda of Prior Lake, MN - USA. Thanks to their kindness they have positively changed the life of an entire family.

Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam was incorporated in September 2001. The organization was granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service in April 2002.
